Sephora Wonderful Cushion foundation

Recently Sephora released a Cushion foundation of their own, very reminiscent of their normal liquid
foundation yet in compact form. But now they are being pulled out of stores nation-wide.
Why?
Well the cushion foundation isn't bad by any means, it is pretty close to the original concept of a cushion foundation medium to build-able coverage, nice bouncy applicator a decent amount of product, much like Korean cushion foundations. Also the shiny plastic packaging looks amazingly stylish and classy.
The Foundation itself is easy to blend, its light weight and easy to travel with. The coverage on my normal skin last anywhere from 7-8 hours longer if its set with some powder.
The Bad
This cushion foundation is actually $24 but is now on sale if you can find it for $12 USD. But the variety of shades leave much to be desired, with their darkest shade being walnut which in its original form is very dark and rice with warm pigmentation in the cushion comes out as a neutral medium tan shade.  So the range leaves a lot to be desired with only 6 shades.

Over all I don't hate it i just put in a couple of drops of my darkest foundation shade and it matches me perfectly and for $12 I can't say I regret it.

Too Faced Bronzer

Too faced bronzer are a summer staple, but this leads me to ask why? What makes these bronzers better than others?
So I went out and bought the Too Face little Black Book of Bronzers. This at the time I bought this it was $30 on sale at toofaced.com.  it contained 8 bronzers all a little different.
The first thing I notice was the chocolate scent which to me was heavenly. But it  could be a game changer for anyone allergic to chocolate.
The bronzers that come with it is;
-Endless Summer
-Beach Bunny
-Pink leopard
-Dark chocolate soleil
-Snow Bunny
- Chocolate Soleil
- Milk chocolate soleil
- Sun Bunny

All pretty and different.
Let's start with my favorite bronzer the Dark chocolate soleil. It's highly pigmented with a rich warm brown with slight orange hew. Let's say this is meant for tanner skintones to chocolate skintones. This is also matte and does have a chocolate scent.
- following closely behind is Endless summer. This is a bit more neutral and not as dark good for sculpting. This is one of their long lasting bronzers "16 hour long wear". But to me all their bronzers to me are long lasting.
- Sun Bunny is  one of the more interesting bronzers containing 2 bronzers in one. One side is lighter and the other slightly darker. It does give off a nice shine not glittery at all. I like to layer the darker park on the perimeter of my face and the lighter bronzer lower and blend them together.
- Chocolate soleil is also a very pretty shade it's a matte medium brown. I use this for the fall or winter when I want to give my face a bit more color.
- snow bunny is a multi tasking bronzer with different shades one white, one baby pink, a warm bronzing strip and a deep brown strip. Together it gives a beautiful lively effect but you can use them as eyeshadows.
-Now heading to bronzers I'm not the biggest fan of is Milk chocolate soleil. It is a matte bronzer, but it is so faint on my tanner skin-tone that it doesn't really impress me its good for the winter or my sickish days. Better for lighter skin tone or olive skin tones.
- Pink leopard is an okay bronzer not my favorite for its pinkish tones its not bad by any means but it has a more girly look. Its fine but not my favorite.
- The one I dislike is Beach Bunny. Why? Because its looks a bit too muddy and it doesnt really have warm enough tones for me.

Overall value?
I like this whole palette, plus each sample size of these bronzers are worth $10 literally making the value of this palette is  $90. So it's worth it if you are a fan of bronzers .

What not to spurge on with beauty

Save your money, what not to splurge on

Sometimes as people we like to indulge the best of things when they might not be worth it. Here are some things I think are not so necessary to splurge on.

·         Lipsticks/ glosses

o   Lipsticks come in all colors and finishes. The best thing about them is they are easily purchased at the drugstore for less than $10. Why spend $16 on a MAC lipstick when you can buy a similar color for less? People say that it’s all in the formulation and brand which I say ok, but if I can put chopstick on for one dollar and buy extremely pigmented lipsticks from Wet & Wild for $2 my $20 goes a long way. That’s essentially 8 lipsticks and a chap stick. This could also be done for special colors that you know you’re not going to use on a regular basis or a trail color.

·         Eye shadows

o   Once again eyeshadows are everywhere and the best part is that they can be found anywhere. So why pay $10 per eyeshadow or more, when you can buy a quad for $6? Maybelline, Revlon, Milani , ELF, Wet &Wild, and Nyx all have great colors in duos and much more. The most important thing to have is an eyeshadow primer to make sure they last and that’s all. You don’t need to run out and get the Urban Decay palettes especially if you’re not going to use all those colors or if you want to create your own custom pallet. Just get a Z-pallet and have fun creating your own which you can change and it didn’t cost you $60.

·         Blush
Image result for maybelline blush
o   Blush to me is one of those things I personally don’t use much making it the best thing to buy at a drugstore. Why would spend $28 on a single benefit blush when I can get a $5 ELF blush that I will use just as much. Which won’t hurt as much to replace either. But blushes come in different constancies which may be a bit tricky

·         Mascara/ eyeliner

Image result for loreal mascara o   Mascara is only good for 3 months, before its over run by bacteria. So spending $20 for a mascara is a bit ridiculous. since there is always a similar mascara  for less. Waterproof mascara, black and colored can be found in the drugstore. Plus if you don't finish it all before 3 months it wont be such  a waste. You also can experiment more easily with formulas and brushes without the hefty price. Eyeliners fall into the same category, except they last a little longer.

These are just some items that I think aren't worth spending more than $20 for. Of course to each-their-own, but I know that not everyone is will to spend so much for no reason. One thing I do believe that if you can spend a little more you can find a foundation for you. Shades and skin types play a big factor in foundation. Plus ingredients do make a difference, for example skin clearing, or anti-age and sunscreens can be a concern.
I hope you have enjoyed this please leave a comment on what do you think is not worth getting for a higher price.

3B - Beauty beyond borders

Hello everybody and I have a new subscription for all of you. we all know the more common asian subscription boxes such as Beauteque and Memebox.  But a more affordable subscription box is the 3b box which stands for beauty beyond borders Asian beauty/ skincare  products in America. It is $12 a month cancel anytime. They offer 4-5 sample size or full size products. This is my first box, which I received within 3 days even though there was a tweet list of two months to even be able to subscribe.  All the instructions in English are on the card because these products tend not to have English instructions.
In this box I received :
- a skin food false lashes
These are very pretty eyelashes they are crisscross, very long and it has the glue inside. I am very familiar with skin food this is a very nice and popular brand.
-TonyMoly lovely eyebrow pencil in brown
Once again everyone knows Tony Moly if you read any of my blogs, this is a light medium brown it doesn't pull too red. In a very sleek looking pencil with a nice tip that isn't too thin and has a strange bristle brow com does super soft very unlike the ones I'm used to. But it does give a very natural look.
-Etude house baking powder BB deep cleansing foam (sample size)
This is another common Korean brand this deep cleansing foam smells like a oranges and a gritty texture. 3b claims this is a popular gentle cleanser that is formulated with baking powder to exfoliate and deeply cleanse the skin. it helps remove makeup dirt and excess sebum to keep the skin smooth and clear. To you apply a small amount onto wet face  after lathering it up and gently massage on to face then rinse with warm water.
-TonyMoly tangerine whitening hand cream.
When I saw the screen I was amazed by how cute it was but terrified the tangerine / orange smell that it would give off. But to my surprise the smell wore off within a couple of minutes. It has a nice thick consistency and a slightly yellow tint. the smell also remind me of my childhood orange juice that they give you in elementary school. I don't know why but it just smells like it lol.
Overall I'm really impressed with this. The sample sizes were very good even bigger than my Birchbox. TonyMoly lovely eyebrow pencil is so cute and so useful and will get a lot of things out of that, the tangerine hand cream is definitely going to go into my purse and the eyelashes I will give it a try but I'm not a big fan of them in general. Overall this box is definitely worth what I paid for and the shipping was very fast so I will continue to repurchase this box.
