Soap and glory vitamin C face wash

This is a 3 in 1 detox facial soap clear skin purifies & smoothens texture. This claims to be foaming but it doesn't really foam much at all.
I had first tried this as a sample from Sephora ( decently big if I can say so myself) after 4 uses I knew I needed the full size in my life.
This really felt like a cooling gel with large granolas of pink grapefruit beads that gently exfoliates the skin. It smells a lot like a regular soap but doesn't dry out my skin. I have combination skin so a  oily forehead and dry cheeks it doesn't irritate my cheeks or strip my forehead. I enjoy using this twice a day for a wakeup cleanser and a night cleanser after I remove all my makeup.

I have noticed a reduction in redness for my skin. This also is a light exfoliator and after 2 weeks my complexion is more even and brighter than what it was. I do have hyperpigmentation on my chin  but within these four weeks I have noticed a fade in the dark spots and a fade in the amount of acne due to hormonal reasons. Sometimes I would leave the clarifying gel on for 2 minutes and then wash off for an even cleaner feeling but only doing that once a week.

I don't think this would work well if you have sensitive skin, because the chemicals could dry your skin out and/or cause irritation.
please do follow this up with a serum and a moisturized of your choosing, recommend this for ALL SKIN TYPES.
As I am typing they are on amazon $23 for 150ml  or 6.4 oz.. it use to be at Sephora but they are discontinuing the sell of Soap& Glory in Sephora and its moving into the drugstores which personally excites me. I will repurchase after I am done, but since I do buy birchboxes I will also be reviewing their cleansers and face washes.

Borghese brightening makeup

Borghese brightening makeup is a light reflective cream which can be used on the face and body. It has a purplish glow which is universally flattering (which is surprisingly because I was terrified when I first saw this).  This is $30 for 1 fluid ounces can be bought at birchbox.com.
At first I didn't think i was going to get any use out of this at all so I put it away in my skin care drawer at the far end. One day as I was rearranging my things I came across this. Remembering how tati (youtube guru and beauty) was saying that if you put a liquid lumineser with your moisturizer you can have a very beautiful look on your Legs and on your face.
This doesn't contain any glitter it just gives off a wet look.
I don't recommend this for sensitive skin or very oily skin because it can make you look greasy or irritate the skin.
It does contain a foundation like smell which I'm not a fan off.

Malus intensive hair treatment

I received this in one of my memebox. This is a intensive hair treatment is supposed to be done after you wash your hair then leave on for 5 to 10 minutes and then washed off. The Pacific is $14 for 30 grams. This does smell like green apples and has a Vaseline like consistency. Instructions are actually in Korean so yeah this is not available in the US and is no longer on the meme box site.
What I felt like this did was provided very nourishing mask that weight down the hair because of its harsh consistency. It is a relatively quick hair mask but don't expect miracles because you will not find it. but it is a great hair ends mask. Because it really does nourish the ends but I wouldn't recommend using on the scalp because it can be hard to completely remove.
So this is a so-so product. But was fun to try . I have use this 3-4 times and I'm not done but I do have short hair .

Benefits hydrating tinted lip balm

Not too long ago I purchased to benefits lip balm one in bene balm the other in lolli balm. The each individually cost $16 which can be found in Sephora, Macy's, Ulta, and any other high end makeup is sold. and these both have very nice packaging, and they are great to give to younger girls who are just starting with makeup.
There is nothing completely revolutionary about them they both have decent pigmentation and extremely hydrating but do not last long. of course I recommend drugstore lip balm from the Maybelline line which cost around 6 to 8 dollars depending on where you buy it. But if you want to give him as a gift to you know be a little fancy this is a great way to go I personally bought it just to feel little fanfare there's nothing revolutionary about them but once again I really enjoy benefit products and they're very well packaged very pretty and girly. if you are familiar with the Benetint,  the carry the same exact smell the red one which is the Bene balm slightly more flowery for the lolli balm. All these are followed by their tints.
There are three in total: the benetint, lollitint, the cha cha tint and each one of them have their corresponding balm. Which gives you the option of layering the tint and the balm to get a more pronounced color and hydration that will last longer.

Silicon mix Hair Treatment

This is one of my holy grail products full time. I'll just started off with the truth I have been using this since forever basically. This is a product actually made in Dominican Republic, which is actually where I'm from. my mother started using this when I was around 3 years old, and her hair is so soft, and so very healthy.
At one point I stopped using this because I wanted to try different things. I have tried: it's a 10 deep conditioner, Aussie 3 minute miracle, John Frieda deep conditioner, Nexxus deep conditioner, L'Oréal repair, Panteen deep conditioner...
Since I have experimented with a lot of different brands many of which I did not mention above, and I have dyed my hair multiple times and straightened it, curled it and damaged it, I know what it takes to call a deep conditioner good.
This has a slightly thined out Texture, the easily helps detangle knots and strengthen the hair. easily coats everything. I wear this one anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes depending on the time I have. you don't necessarily have to use it in the shower, your hair just has to be wet and washed you can use a regular conditioner before this but it's not necessary.
Previously my mom had only bought the smaller containers until I found out they were trying to 1 available when I took my vacation to the Dominican Republic. Of which I later found out was available on Amazon for a mere $23 for a whole 60 fluid ounces. But they do have a smaller version available which is 16 ounces.  You can literally last you up to a whole year consistent use. But of course like everything you should always switch things up which is why every once in awhile I'll just use a regular conditioner or I'll try something from my birchbox. Plus if you're feeling like I'm just trying to sell you on something you can actually go and check out the Amazon review which is obviously like a 4.6 cuz its awesome. Lol. I bought the one I currently have in late August and almost 6 months later I have hit 1/3 of the container.  Obviously this is only for me (my mother has her own smaller version) which we tend to accompany by the silicon mix leave in conditioner.
It does have a nice sort of floral scent to it and it is very gooey and gelatinous feeling and it is white.
If you do not want to purchase it online you can find it any Beauty Salon the tend to carry this quite often.

Amika nourishing mask

This is a sea buckthorn berry (Obliphica) that is supposedly good for all hair types. I received this in a brichbox; it contains 20 milliliters which is 0.7 us fluid ounces. It's $40 for 500 ml.
My personal experience:
It has a very strong non offensive scent, more like a very nice refined perfume. It's slightly reminds me of Vincent Camuto perfume (p.s it's not exactly the same it just has a very similar after smell). This product is white and very creamy but very hard to thin out to place in my hair.
to be honest with someone like me who uses nourishing mask quite often, I didn't feel a difference.  it was much like every other mask that  I have just weaker. this would work great if you were not really a big fan of the moisture mask, this is more people who aren't a huge user of this and I just trying to see if it would work for them. But for the price that is actually,  there are much better ones that you can find another at your local drugstore there are ten times better and more effective.
so overall it's not a horrible mask it's just not a very effective one especially not for people with very dry curly hair.

L'Occitane Cleansing And Softening Shower Oil

Cleansing And Softening Shower Oil With Almond Oil
this is a very cool and interesting product. I purchased the 2.5 ounces which cost $10 a Sephora in late December. I have finally made it through this product, and it was by pretty much and dumping it all down.
This is a thick yellow oil that reacted with water to become a white foam.
What it claims:
This foamy favorite is perfect for cleansing, hydrating, and even shaving. The unique formula is rich in almond oil, grape vine, rosemary, and nourishing lipids for silky smooth skin. The gentle almond fragrance is suitable for both women and men.
My experience:
I really couldn't with the smell, I honestly cannot. The idea and the formula is really cool but that smell though. it smelled like a child who found some mud and nuts and smashed that together, then took his father's Cologne and spilled it into the bottle. and the smell just gets worse when water is applied because it starts to stink up the whole bathroom.
Besides that the smell of paint around 3 to 4 minutes after you get out the shower. On my skin intended to dry it out, I found myself using more lotion to combat the smell and the dryness of my skin. I did feel squeaky clean but I also felt extremely dry which is odd because it was originally an oil. So what are basically want to say is unless you want to smell like a man child I don't really recommend this if the fragment was a little bit better I probably would consider it more but I just can't have a bathroom smelling like a man, it not my favorite scent.

Mistura Complextion Corrector

I received this product a BoxyCharm box.

This C-2-P Complexion Corrector is valued at $36 USD

Is it worth is...? Yes but not for me

The claims are "cream-to-powder complexion corrector blends moisturizing benefits with amazing coverage results. Rich with coconut oil and shea butter, the smooth silky-matte finish leaves your skin hydrated and blemish-free. The super-light formula instantly masks redness and broken capillaries and hides imperfections with one touch. One shade for all skin tones."

This truly is a cream to powder and would work anywhere but the eyes as a tone correcting, and dark spot corrector.  I think the lipstick form is what I really don’t like, it is very convenient packaging. It’s just too easy to use too much of, and does sink into fine lines if not used sparingly. Which can be tricky with the application mode, but is amazingly lightweight, and does combat redness.

The exception is dark under eyes, it would not completely block out that purple/ blue color from under the eyes so a corrector which is a Salman color or orange color under this because it can cause a gray shadow under the eyes. But if that’s not a concern this is a nice concealer that can be used on those lighter days but nothing revolutionary.

Absolute New York lip balm

Hello there today I will be talking about lip balms. I'm going to be talking about are from absolute New York. They cost around $3 each they are against animal testing, last around 12 months and come in adorable tin packaging whose colors reflect on its flavours.
The first one I'm talking about is " You're the Balm Grape," which does smell like chemically made grape scent. This is not particularly my favorite one, because it does contain glitter. It's also does not have the same formulation. And this one have multiple times toned glitters in purple, blue, green, yellow and orange. And to hear it is glitter so I don't travel everywhere the formula tends to be a little bit waxy but that does allow the glitters to say on anywhere from 2 to 8 hours depending on how much you eat and drink. It also leave a nice sheen and hydrated look at the lips but doesn't moisturize so well. So due to the glitter and waxy-ish feel, I pass this along to a younger family member who really did enjoy this.
My favorite one is the Absolute Love Bubblegum, once again that contain a super fruity bubble gum smell that's less artificial than the grape. This one is not waxy it has a super buttery formula. This one is super moisturizing and does leave a nice pink tint and sheen on the lips and keep them moisturized for 2 hours. I usually use this after exfoliating lips or a couple of minutes before I use a drying lipstick.
The downside to this is the packaging it does come in at 10 which you have to open and physically scoop out the product. Which could be a little concerning to a lot of germaphobes, but my option is taking the product and placing in into a more desirable format such as putting it into an old chap stick container that's been finished.
Another complaint is it's gel-like formula, the glitter or the smell, which depends on who you are. Just remember to look at the product and see if glitter bothers you, or the gell  formula is something you are interested in.

ArganiCare Shampoo for dry and damaged hair

This simple cause of 400 milliliters or 13.5 fluid ounces. Argani care claims to be all natural with certified organic oil's and Argan and shear butter. It comes in black package with a pump and I bought this at TJ Maxx for $5.99.
The claims are it's a restoring shampoo, increases softness manageability as it cleanses. Enriched with aragan oil this shampoo soothes hair fiber and infuses your hair with nutrients to leave it full, healthy and lustrous.  Revitalize and fortifies ultimate moisturization....
During my time using this look around give or take 3 to 4 months, it really did help my frizz, and really did allow me to put moisture into my hair because it did kind of dry out my hair just a teeny bit. but obviously I would follow up with a deep conditioner as I usually do which is the silicon mix one, which I have been using since I was a child.
This did have a scent of argan oil, a white texture that was quite liquidity,  didn't really foam up too well. Personally for me it was good because it wouldn't irritate my scalp or force all the moisture out of my hair.
I do not believe this will help anyone with any dandruff, or seriously dry hair, but I do think it does help with damaged hair.
I did previously have dry, wavy (once curly) heat damaged hair which is why I opted to use this. From my experience I realize it was better for me to do a oil treatment around 1 day before I would wash my hair. Once again this is no miracle worker but it is very good depending on how you use it. I only wash my hair every 3 to 4 days to retain moisture, and I do give myself got massages which if is something that you're interested in you can find out more online. and once I cut off my dead ends around two months into the process of finishing this shampoo my hair was very, very soft and its condition was generally improved. Due to this I have less hair fall out because my scalp is now good condition, and my hair drys itself out a little bit quicker after my showers.

On the claims of it being natural I'm not too sure, the ingredients are on the website so feel free to check out their website at www.arganiCare.com.
A bonus is that they are cruelty free and they last for 12 months.

L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipsticks

This is a sheer to medium opacity, with a beautiful golden packaging. this wears anywhere from 3-4 hours depending on use. It is very creamy so not great for long wear, does have a non-offensive scent of vanilla/nut lipstick. This does not contain a magnetic closer, but luckily its cruelty free.
" The (L'Oreal) Group no longer tests on animal, anywhere in the world, and does not delegate this task to others. " Which if I could personally say as a consumer I'm very glad to hear that L'Oreal is changing into a cruelty free brand, as a consumer it really helps  to know that I didn't help burn some cute little animal somewhere.
On topic again, the color I bought is 850 Brazil Nut, which is a warm, brown hinting a little peach.

 $9 USD in the drugstore

Tarte Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara

Lets Talk Lashes,
Lashes are the essential part of a lot of peoples looks, from teenager to adults. And everyone's looking for their perfect all in one mascara. So to start this journey I bring you Tarte Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara, sadly it did not work for me (ill let you know why later) but it works for a lot of people.
This mascara is a soft everyday volumizer , this is a drier formula which contains nourishing properties for the lashes. it has a nice sleek woodsy packaging. the wand is not super compacted with  bristles, they are actually quite thin and sparse.
The claims are: This mascara delivers a 406 percent increase in lash volume and offers long-term reparative, rebuilding, and strengthening benefits with each swipe, giving you instant results and better lash health. Amazonian clay, known for intuitively restoring hydration and the skin's texture, also works to hydrate and replenish dry and brittle lashes to prevent fallout. This natural clay performs all day by absorbing oil and keeping the mascara in place for flake-free, longer wear. It prevents lash loss and promotes lash health, and after daily wear, lashes are intact, healthier, and stronger. Amazonian clay also enriches the pure color pigments, creating a volume-boosting formula with higher intensity and truer color. The result is healthier and more voluminous lashes that won't ever flake or transfer.

My personal experience: my lashes are very healthy and thick and naturally curved, so I thought this would be a good everyday mascara that would help give them a little extra va-va-voom. My first time I applied it I notice how dry the formula was, but the claims of it being good for your lashes made me bare it. it didn't really do much with one coat but push my lashes up a little more, not much length, so I opted for 2 coats which clumped up on my lashes. Already upset I combed them out with my lash brush. After a 9-5 school schedule I came home to dark black flakes all around my eyes and smudges on my lower lash line ( which was partially my fault for having watery eyes), so the next day I gave it another chance only applying one coat to my upper lashes and only busing it for 5 hours, that didn't help it my lases had flacked. On the positive side they didn't feel supper dry, but I don't thing this works for people who don't sweat a lot, also doesn't give off overly spidery lashes. Perhaps I just accidentally got a bad one, which happens.
Once again many people love it, for length and volume. If you still want to try there is a $10 option for a trail size that will give you a chance to see if o will work for you.

OLE HENRIKSEN African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser

I had purchased this item at Sephora's VIB Sale  2014
this is a gentle, foamy cleanser good for sensitive skin. At the beginning I was slightly disturbed by the strong orange smell, I slowly became accustom to it. Vitamin C, African red tea, and citrus extracts help brighten the complexion.
It doesn't dry the skin but doesn't hydrate either it does purify the skin and removes makeup. The bubbles from the foam feels super good. This product says to apply 2-3 pumps for twice a day but I only need 1 pump for my whole face which makes it nearly impossible to finish.
This lasted a solid 5 months but could have lasted 7 if I hadn't really tried to finish it. Which is good if you want a long lasting cleanser but I was getting tired of it.
The one available from November to January of 2015 was a 1 ounce bottle with 10 cleansing wipes, which can still be purchased on amazon. The one currently available at Sephora is 7 ounces bottle for $30 which believe could last you around 2 years.
http://www.amazon.com/Ole-Henriksen-Cleansing-African-Cleanser/dp/B00QBOZ91Y
http://www.sephora.com/african-red-tea-foaming-cleanser-P211343
Sephora says; What it is formulated to do:This creamy, foaming, antioxidant-rich cleanser gently cleanses, nourishes, and hydrates. It deeply purifies and pampers skin, infusing delicate nourishment with African red tea, a youth-restoring antioxidant to strengthen skin, vitamin C to brighten and firm, and borage seed oil to soothe and nourish. Bright and energizing citrus extracts of grapefruit, orange, and tangerine purify and intoxicate the skin senses

Nyc Sunny Bronzer

This bronzer is a soft warm tone, light bronzer.

On some very fair tones can pull slightly orange,  but on yellow undertones can have a sun kissed effect. Wouldn't work on anyone on the milk chocolate spectrum but anyone from light to medium skin tones for reference I can hit NC42.

This Bronzer can be found in most local drugstore and can range between $2-3. And offers 3 different shades

SmashBox Step-By-Step Contour Stick Trio

Step-By-Step Contour Stick Trio
contains
1 contour stick Dark gray- brown
1 bronzing stick Warm medium brown
1 highlight shade light yellowish- cream

This is an easy everyday contour, doable for the everyday makeup girls/ boys.  In my experience this is super creamy but bendable products that can be used over your foundation.
these provide flexibility of being a soft or harsh effects on  the face and it does come with a contour guide.

How I use this:
First I already am aware that I have a  oval face shape where my natural contours and high points are already set.
-  So I place my contour on the shadow areas such as the bottom of my cheek bones, the sides of my nose( on the tipoff it), underneath my bottom lip.
- Highlight in a triangle under my eyes, upwards on the corners of my mouth, the bridge of the nose, and high points of my cheekbones.
- Bronzer around the perimeter of the forehead , temples. and  above the contour lines.
then blend it all out I use a bit of oil to soften up all the lines and make them look natural .

The negatives:
- may not work for Dark skin tones with reddish undertones
 - may not work for very pale skin tones
- doesn't blend well with all brushes (use a beauty blender or stippling brush)

$45 at Sephora

Estee Ladur Double Wear Foundation

Everyone raves about Estee lauder and at is $37 dollar mark, it should.

If you are planning on getting this foundation here are 5 things you should know.

1.    It is medium to full coverage

a.    It is buildable

b.    Light foundation smell

c. Apply with light hand because it can look cakey

2.    Hard to pick color

a.    Would recommend getting color matched

3.    Good for oily skin’

a.    Not good for dry skin

1.    If you do have dry skin and still want to try it, use a very good moisturizer and a silicon primer.

4.    Wears wonderfully over 10 hours

1.    (I know I have tried)

5.    Removed quickly by any cleansing oil

Now I do enjoy using this but here are some useful tips I have learned the hard way.

a) Always wear a primer with this over 3 hours it can sink into pores or crack around smile lines.

b) Can extenuate dry patches

Otherwise I can say I do enjoy using this foundation it’s very easy to apply especially if used with a beauty blender. Although it doesn’t help much with texture on the face it leaves a beautifully matte finish.

if you are wondering I am in Honey Bronze

Benefit fake up concealer

 shade #3
Benefit fake up
cost $25 for 0.12 oz

To me this is a moisturizing color correcting concealer because color # 3 the darkest of the shades has a very orangey. I apply this to my dark circles and red areas before my foundation. I let is sit for a minute and proceed with my routine. This will not help with crease ressistance, or oilly undereyes. But it does help blurr fine lines. The basis of this is its just a hydrating color correcter that can be layered with a highlighting concealer. The other shades are still a bit orangy even the lighist shade.

Now on Sephora claims: Cover-up goes incognito. This moisturizing crease-control concealer with vitamin E and apple seed extract hides dark circles and diffuses fine lines for a silky smooth, ultranatural look. Available in three shades, it’s proven to keep skin hydrated for six hours and won’t cake, crease, or settle.

Is this a must have? Only and only of you have dark circles and fine lines due to dry skin. If not this is not a practicle product for you.

Birchbox March 2015

This is my review of Birchbox  March 2015 box of creativity.
Birchbox is a monthly subscription concerning beauty, skincare, hair care, and lifestyle samples. Women's Subscription $10/month, Men's Subscription $20/month.

What I received:

Amika nourishing mask for hair  full-size value of $28
Harvey Prince perfume sample "Signature" full-size value $55

Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter Highlighter Full-size $14
Vasanti Cosmetics Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator, full size value $34 Vita Liberata     S

Self tanning night moisturizer mask full size value $ 45

Birchbox seems to me to be a box of skin care and fun little cosmetics which is what. Plus this is more of a quality vs. Quantity bag so the items can be a bit small. I like skin care...now if you just want cosmetics I would suggest ipsy. But be warned their value can a little iffy at least on a personal level.

Garnier Fructis Style Pure Clean Styling Gel

Garnier Fructis Style Pure Clean Styling Gel

6.80-Fluid Ounce 200 ml

Company claims "Introducing the next generation of pure styling! Pure clean is our first naturally-derived styling line with acacia gum for 24-hour, pure performance and ultra-clean hold--whatever your style! What is pure clean styling gel? A 98% naturally-derived styling gel for extra strong hold, all day, with zero flaking or residue. How does it work? Acacia gum is used around the world for its natural holding properties. These naturally-derived formulas provide ultra-clean hold and pure styling performance. "

My own opinion it's the product is its ok, depending on what you are looking for. if you want a light hold and not much of a crunchy feeling (depending on how much you use) and decent smell this is it. Now if you want something that's going to hold all day this is not for you. It doesn't flack or leave a cast which is great for all my people with Jet black hair.

I use this on the summer months once I get a little lazy with my hair. I just wash my hair and place a quarter size amount to block frizz, and I'm out the door. it does have a fragrance more on the line of citric with a hint of aloe, but it is  not super amazing.

Overall I give it 3 out of 5 Nicki Minaj Bunny ears. p.s. if you don’t know what I’m talking about refer to her song Pills and Potions.

TonyMoly Wonder Butter

TonyMoly Wonder Butter
First can I start off by how cute this is? It looks like a container for butter with the same swirls as butter.

But that’s a ramble, the product itself is 300ml and is definitely for dry skin people. Luckily it’s a multiuse product that can be used for the face neck, and other parts of the body. Much like The Wonder Water, it has a gel consistency but it’s much thicker and leaves the skin feeling soothed.

(Little tip you want it to feel extra cool you can take the wonder products and put them in the fridge)

Since this is a very hydrating product a small amount goes a long way, it does have a light fragrance which fades almost instantly. It can be used overnight as a hydrating mask if layered thickly, but also as an everyday moisturizer just layer it with some sunscreen.

can be purchased on Amazon for 15 USD

TonyMoly Wonder Water

TonyMoly Wonder Water Moisture cream;

is oil-free moisturizer. holds up to 300 milliliters
To use apply a small amount no bigger than a dime on your forehead and spread it to your neck area , should spread nice and evenly I leave a refreshing scent and cooling feeling on the skin.
In my experience its gel to liquid consistency super soft and quite impressive it melts straight into the skin and giving a nice radiant look. I wouldn't recommend this for dry skin people because it's not a long lasting moisturizer,  it's more likely for oily skin. Because it contains moisture but not too much and leaves a fine layer on top of the skin which reduces the oil production of the skin.
It smells sort of like aloe vera gel but very faintly.
Some of its ingredients may cause  irritation if you have sensitive skin.
This retails for $19-$24 USD,
Whether I think you need this or not depends on you because it is a 300 ml bottle it will last you a very long time but personally I prefer the butter version of this which will be in different review
